I received a very nice comment from Bobbie, who is a tried and true Quickutz addict from the beginning. She asked if I could post some of my designs using the Limited dies on the blog. I will be honest mine are nothing to the ones posted in the Quickutz gallery. I will try my best to post some from the gallery with the creator's name since I have not taken pictures of that many of my creations. So here are some of my designs..

I also did the giraffe in Blue. He came out really cute. I will check my digi cards for that picture.

The tires are punched out of foam. The body of the bike was punched out of a textured paper I found at Michael's.

Updates..

We are hearing that the Fairy die is being shipped to the Crafter's home main location. Then the fairy will be heading to the Crafter's Home stores. She she should be arriving soon... Watch out for October 20th when they release their new quarterly die a border. Well the owner of my LSS let me know it is something that I am going to want. Oh heavens...

There is also a rumor that Hobby Lobby may be releasing a die. Something was mentioned about an "exclusive" in their newsletter but not much else on it. So keep you eyes peeled for something new from Hobby Lobby.

I have also heared rumor of another release soon from Archiver's. They are killing us...

More exclusive info... RUMORS..

So there are rumors out that there will another exclusive release from Archivers either toward the end of October or toward the end of the year.. Like I said before... Everyone is getting die cuts for Christmas.. They are apparently planning to release a die every quarter.

Also Crafters Home is rumored to announce a holiday border exclusive around the 20th of October. Like others have said.. I hope they are not cute because I can not afford to get them. I think the pups need to get a job.. Or find a way to make money off their cuteness.. Gracie could be rented out as a vacuum or garbage disposal. Cody as a boxing partner or a cuddler..

Someone made a comment about me saying my stash of dies. I am afraid I must admit that I have added most of the Exclusive dies to my Quickutz library. I think I have more Exclusive dies then I have regular dies. Well at least in the Revolution dies that is.

If you have not picked up your Archiver's dies.. Well they have admited that they had overpriced the 2x2 dies. Some stores have them for $9. That is all I have right now.. Happy Hump day...

We have two more dies...

Scrapy Land has announced two new exclusive dies. An adorable Christmas turtle and a tom turkey. Just in time for those holiday cards. These will go on sale October 12th. They already have them in stock so they will be arriving in your mailbox before the end of the month. Happy shopping.

Lonestar Scrapbooks has made an announcement. They are not only carrying the fairy die but they will releasing a Texan Cowboy. He is on pre-order at $34.99 and is due out in mid-October. I think he is pretty cute. Not sure if I will get him. Oh heavans you know he will end up in my stash...

Another Die in the Mail..

This is the month of the Dies.. I recieved a message from Jenn & from Scrapping Cottage that the Tea set is shipping. The poor mail man.. It is like Christmas in October.. Yeah...So Tuesday (Or if your Archiver's store is kind you) we will be able to purchase the Spider dies. Then the Quickutz release is on the 23rd.

I will admit that I was incorrect about the release date of the ScrapHappy Ohio exclusive die. I remember months ago that said check back September 1st. But we get to sit here and try and guess what the next die will be. I know we all have September 15th marked on our calander.. Otherwise we can just keep stalking their site for this new die..



Yes I will admit, it was me that did when the new exclusive die from Shop Remember When. Okay the first thing I have to admit is you get a little stir crazy being stuck in the house. I had finished Breaking Dawn. I was unsure if I wanted to finish the book I had put down to read Breaking Dawn or start a new one.. So I took a creative break and just pulled out my supplies and just started playing. A little ADHD and cabin fever and see what you get.. I was just glad it made it there in time. I was afraid with everything put of wack because of Tropical Storm Fay. Well we have 3 more storms lined up out there in the Atlantic and a few more hurricane days I might get a lot of work done. Hey I might even get the recipe page due September 15th..

Rule of thumb. Check out the store before purchasing your exclusive die one eBay. A lot of the stores still have some in stock for 1/2 the eBay price.

Some thoughts on the exclusive dies...

It may be just me but I don't like when the exclusive & QK regular dies are
so much alike...the spider web looks just like QK's release from last
fall....this one just has more lines in it.....don't get me wrong I love the
exclusives & may most of them but I like for them to be different from other
releases...Anne

I do agree with you Anne. I felt that way when Quickutz released the pirate ship. I felt bad because the store spent a lot of money and time to create the Pirate ship for them to put one out right afterwards. But luckily those two dies are different sizes and can be used to make a layout look like it has depth. The Quickutz spider web is very straight lined. Normal spider webs are not that perfect and a lot people want more realistic dies. I just think it gives more people options. The castle die. ScrapHappy Ohio released a fairy tale type castle. Just recently Quickutz released more block style castle. I admit I have both. I noticed someone on the Quickutz board combined the two and it was cute. Then I combined the two with a little extra set of die cuts. And man it is pretty close to the Cinderella Castle at Disney.

I know it is blurry. Sorry. I was too lazy to walk to the car to get the tripod.

I like that there so much variety. I hate that some of the exclusive releases are so many dies at once. I wish they would break it up so it is not has shocking to the pocketbook.

If you get Archiver's Newletter there was a picture of 2 of their dies.. In August they used an Owl die in a project. Now we see that it is going to be releasing more holiday themed dies. Now we have a Spider web revolution die and border die.. Oh I must have the border die. It is great.. They will be available September 15th.

Archiver's and other things..

Archiver's is a tease or the UPS man is holding the dies hostage. When are their dies being released. Supposedly it is now going to be September 12th at Scrapfest. But who knows.

September is fast approaching. September 1st there are several stores that will be announcing new new exclusive dies, mailing dies or start taking orders.

Well they have done it again for a third time this month. Scrapyland has released another cute die. This little guy will start pre-sale in September 1 to ship in October. This is a revolution die. Too cute..

Clearer skies..

Well maybe not that clear. The sun did make an appearnace today. Not for long but we did see some sun rays and blue skies. Shocking I know. Sunshine in the Sunshine state..


This is a little bit of the sun shining through one of the storm's rain bans.





It has slowed down on the rain. Yeah! Accourding to the Weather channel my area got between 15 to 30 inches of rain. That is deep enough for Cody to swim in it.

It is funny how one Utah Set shows up on eBay and more are soon to follow. As posted in the previous post one just sold at $179. Now someone has posted a set for $250 buy it now.. Check it out. At least they are offering free shipping.. There is also a Giraffe going for $110. Oh My..


An Idea for a Quickutz Die - A Hurricane would sell well in Coastal states.... Sorry I am a little over T.S. Fay.

Update.

Well aparently TS Fay likes it here. According to the news what has stalled 35 miles south of Palm Bay. We are to be at work tomorrow if the weather is not as bad as it was this afternoon. I could care less because I have the vacation time to stay home and my doctor is on call. We keep getting the rain bans coming in and the wind & rain keeps picking up. It is erie to hear the wind howl like it is. I have been seeing the occasional flash of light and know someone is without power. So far as of 9pm Satellite Beach has had over 9 inchs of RAIN. There was a section of the bans off of Satellite Beach that looked like it could spawn a Tornado. Luckly it did not come on shore. There was a Tonado souch down in Barefoot Bay that damaged 54 Mobile Homes, 9 are no longer inhabital. I like in a fortress. The previous owner built brick on block with concrete in the block. As of 11pm She is down to 50mph she is suppose to leave the Melbourne area around 8am. They are not sure where she is heading next. Either Daytona or St. Augustine.. So if it goes to Daytona it is heading to My Grandmothers house. Worry there is that she live in a Mobile home. She is currently with my uncle and his fiance.

-I got to peak at the new die from Scrapyland and he is too cute. They will be releasing a third die next week. Pre-ordering starts September 1st with the dies shipping in October.

-Shop Remember When will be announcing a limited die on September 1st.

-Archiver's is not sure when their dies are coming out. It seems to depend on what store you ask. Some say anyday. Some say September 1st. And some say at Scrapfest. We will see...

-If you have been stalking Ebay lately you are may have seen the Utah Set and The 3 die Squeeze LE dies from the Golden Squeeze giveaway. Th First ever exclusive set - Utah just sold for $174.78 and that Squeeze set went for $189.28. OUCH!!!. For some people that would be enough to fill up their vehicle with gas. I quit bidding on the Utah set at $20. I don't need Jello That bad.

-Do not be suprised if you see if you are seeing more of the Early Limited Dies.. Apparently Quickutz is has cleaned out their warehouse and have located some Halibut and Loon Dies. Scrapbook Too has some of the loon dies but they have it attached to some of their quickutz sales. You can read about it in their most recent Newsletter. I would love to her on of the Loon Dies but if it is ment to be I will end up with one. If not, Oh Well I did not need it.

Fay

I just wanted to let you guys know I am going to be a little quiet for a few days. Fay is approaching and is blowing pretty hard. We have 40+mph winds with gusts in the upper 50's right now. I am not sure how long we will keep power and how long it will be would be out if we lose it. We have gotten a couple inches of rain and we are in our 4th or 5th tornado watch and now our first watch not far from us now. The area of concern is just over the river from us. It is near the boys I watch's house. So I am off & will let you know when it passes...

I know there is a new die out but will have to post more when Fay moves over. She is throwing quite a nice temper tantrum right now..

Loons and Cattails.

I got some info in my mailbox from about this die.. Thanks Cheryl. Apparently Quickutz have some of the Loon & Cattails hidden in their warehouse. Scrapbooks Too has some of those dies. If you get their newsletter you can get the detail. The current special is spend $150 in either in the store or in Quickutz dies (you will have to ask to get what is correct) and you can purchase it the Loon & Cattails die set for $19.99. (sorry I lost track of the information when I watched a person eating a 72oz steak, salad, potato, roll & shrimp cocktail in less then an hour, My stomach just hurts thinking about it.. ) Well I must go back to reading.. Watch later this week to see Scrapyland's next die announcement.

A rare sighting...

A new tide has hit the eBay site is a little fishy.. A rare and unusual site has been surfacing and making waves in the quickutz pool. A few of the Halibut dies have made an appearance. You could almost call the Halibut die the Nessie of the Quickutz world. They are rarely seen and they have a pretty price on their fishy little heads. So far two have gone quickly and little is known on how many more will surface. You must have a nice size piggy bank bring this baby home..

Correction

Apparently what I found on a blog the other morning was not suppose to be released yet. So the Store that posted it on thier blog is not the desigining store. The Tooth Fairy was apparently designed in Florida and will be release in limted quanity at Crafter's home stores (approx 50 stores). So check your local scrapbook store for the tooth fairy.

Sorry Elizabeth, but it was posted in a blog and that is where I saw it first. Some stores seem to think that they do not have to follow the rules regarding the releases - Exclusive and Regular releases.

Word on what a die is...

I have received word on what another store is releasing in September. I am not announcing it because I am waiting for approval from the store owner. I just don't want her mad if I announce it before she is ready. So when I get approval you will know. Happy Monday.....

I will not Confirm something that I have not researched and/or find it on the store blog or website. God I sure do like Blogs. They are so helpful. Not only can you get great tips and Ideas. Sometimes they let info slip. So just a reminder - read carefully because if it is rumor it is posted that way and if it is fact there will be a website attached to either the blog or store front.

A plea for help.

I received an email from a wonderful lady named Cheryle. She is begging for some support in getting an exclusive die made. She is requesting a Covered Wagon. There is a store owner in Portland Oregon who is in the process deciding on an exclusive die. She is considering releasing the Covered wagon. I am sorry to say the store does not have a website or a blog. She does have a Yahoo Group. Think about all those school projects you could use this little gem for. If it is released in a 4x4 die. It would be to use with Remi the beautiful horse released by Shop Remember When. If I find an email address I will post it. I think it would be a great addition to my collection. How about yours... So lets all help Cheryle get her wish. Like I said think of the school projects it would help with...

My two cents on exclusives.. or even just a regular release. I want Wizard stuff. Yes! I am a 32 y/o (almost 33 in 13 days) woman who Likes Harry Potter. I have 2 sets of the books, I have been to England & Scotland to tour the films sites and I am watching Order of the Phoenix as I type this.

Blog Challenge..

For our challenge today... Share with us your favorite quote relating to creativity.

I don't really have a quote.. I think we should encourage creativity in children. Whether it be through stories, games, toys or crafts. Creativity has made this world what it is. Where would we be is Bell did not create the phone. Well we would not have to hear from those solicitors at dinner time. Instead of buying that electronic game buy some art supplies and see what develops. Pull out your craft punches and scissor and give those kids some paper and let them at it. Write down those stories your children make up for you. Did you know that M. Knight Shyamalan.

Children's book

bedtime story he told his children about what happens in their pool at night,
wrote the 72-page children's book Lady in the Water: A Bedtime Story (Little,
Brown, New York, ISBN 0-316-01734-5) to coincide with the movie. The book's illustrations were done by Crash McCreery. It was released on the same day as the film, on July 21, 2006.

I received an e-mail from Sarah spilling the beans that Archivers will have 2 more releases this year. Rumor has it that they will be in August and October.. There is also rumor that Scrapyland will be releasing some more dies down the road (like 25 of them) Oh my.. That is a lot coming soon.. Keep you posted when I hear more details.

I have received work that Virginia the mermaid is now in extremely limited quantity. Beach Scrapbooks only had 50 Left.. Give Virginia a new home. She does not want to be sold on eBay. She wants the money to go to the Great store who created her. They are not going to be reordering this Exclusive Die. Support you Local Scrapbook Store. They are the ones who are designing these beautiful dies and if we want more it is better to go to the creative soure not just to eBay.. Archiver's Oh my goodness...

This little bit came to me from Vicky who was kind and sent me news that Archiver's is releasing a massive amount of dies June 1st - Tomorrow.. They are releasing 21 new dies. Check them out.. http://www.archiversonline.com/products/exclusive_diecuts.html There is no news on the size of these. Only one of which you can assume.. The wave is a Border die. There are a couple that I am interested in.

Thank you Vicky for spilling the beans on this new release. We all know that their phones will be crazy the next few days.. Why does pay day have to be friday.. They are already popping up on eBay. So much for them being released on June 1st.. Buy it now $64.99.. I do not think so.

I recieved an newsletter from one of the stores who I have purchased scrapbook supplies from before. In it there is mention of exclusive dies.... I wanna see.. Quickutz Site.

If you have not noticed already the Quickutz site has created their own community. Well They were kind enought to create a spreadsheet where you can create a printout of the dies you own. The bad thing is tells you what precentage of the collection you own. That can be a shocking number. This does include the exclusive dies also. The cool thing is if you have a multipurpose printer that can print in book format. That makes it so much easier to carry around.

Another New die???

Well surfing the web. I stumbled across an anouncement for a new exclusive die. Scrap Happy Ohio says that the Castle Die is almost sold out. A new exclusive coming soon.. I wonder what it could be. I guess we will just have to keep an eye out on their site.

These are all new releases from Archivers. They are all revolution dies. I am working on getting the Die numbers. If you want these you need to start calling because if they are as limited as the christmas dies they will be gone in no time. That means they are up to 6 revolution dies and 2 2x2 dies.

3/23/08 The numbers are posted but I was not given as to which die they go with. Still working on it for you.

3/24/08 Well I have been able to get the numbers and which die it goes to. These dies have already hitting eBay. One seller is already offering them for $43 each. Maybe Archivers should limit people so others can purchase them. Someone also has them for $199.99 for all 4 dies.. Too much for my blood.. It I get them, I get them..

This is one way to order a bunch of them at once and still support the local Scrapbook stores. They here before paying the inflated eBay prices. Like I have tried to keep you informed as to who still have dies in stock. Why pay $60 for one when you can support a LSS for less. The only ones that are hard to get are the Archiver's releases, The Gypsy heart, Loon & Cattails, Utah, Ticket and Gold Heart. The Web retailers have purchase the Exclusive dies from the releasing store and have decided to offer then on the web to help with convince.
